The Secutron MRI-4003-S is a sounder base for MRI-4000 Series addressable fire detectors. It is a base, not a smoke detector — the detector head is purchased separately. The base adds localized alarm sounding at the detector location. As a result, it can replace separate external sounders in many layouts.

Compatibility and Configuration
The base accepts MRI-4000 Series detector heads. For example, MRI-4010 photoelectric, MRI-4020 multi-sensor, and MRI-4030 heat detectors all dock onto it. However, it must be used with a compatible Secutron fire alarm control unit. Tone and volume are configured at the panel using the MGC MP configuration tool. The base carries UL, ULC, and CSFM listings.
