The Notifier NFN-GW-PC-W is a PCI-slot NOTI·FIRE·NET gateway card with copper wire media. Specifically, it connects an ONYXWorks fire monitoring workstation to a standard NFN network. As a result, the workstation can monitor, control, and program every Notifier panel on the trunk from a single PC.
This card installs directly in a free PCI slot on the workstation. In addition, the PCI bus supplies all required power, so no external supply is needed. Furthermore, the twisted-pair copper trunk handles short to medium runs cleanly. However, for trunks that need electrical isolation between buildings, fiber media via the NFN-GW-PC-F is the better choice.
Notifier NFN-GW-PC-W capabilities
- Monitors alarm, pre-alarm, trouble, and disabled events from networked Notifier FACPs
- Supports acknowledge, silence, reset, enable/disable, and activate/deactivate from the workstation
- Supports FACP programming uploads, downloads, and modifications
- Provides gateway redundancy for network survivability when paired with a second gateway
- Twisted-pair copper media for the trunk connection
