The System Sensor PC2WL-LF is a ceiling-mount, 2-wire low frequency sounder strobe. It pairs a 520 Hz low frequency sounder with a clear strobe. As a result, it provides both audible and visual fire alarm notification.
This L-Series appliance has a white housing for indoor ceiling installation. Notably, its 520 Hz tone meets NFPA 72 requirements for sleeping areas. Therefore, it suits hotels, dormitories, and similar occupancies.
Why the System Sensor PC2WL-LF Uses Low Frequency
Low frequency sound wakes sleeping occupants more reliably than a standard horn. Specifically, the 520 Hz square-wave tone improves response in bedrooms. In addition, the strobe adds a visual signal for occupants with hearing loss.
The strobe also offers field-selectable candela settings. As a result, installers match light output to each space. Furthermore, the device synchronizes with a compatible System Sensor panel or sync module.

The PC2WL-LF carries UL 464 listing for the sounder and UL 1971 listing for the strobe. Therefore, it meets code for combination low frequency notification. The 2-wire design also keeps wiring simple.
