The Potter Electric Signal PFC-6006-R is a 6-zone conventional sprinkler monitoring panel in a red enclosure. First, the panel is engineered for small fire systems like sprinkler-only buildings. Then, it monitors waterflow, tamper, and supervisory inputs from sprinkler valves. As a result, small properties get UL 864 panel coverage without an oversized FACP.
Potter Electric Signal PFC-6006-R zone configuration
The panel has 6 programmable initiating device circuits. Specifically, Input 1 is selectable Class A or Class B for waterflow service. In addition, Inputs 2 through 6 are selectable from a menu of options. Available options include 2-wire smoke detection and heat detection. Also, the menu covers manual pull stations and valve tamper inputs. In addition, both latching and non-latching supervisory modes are available. Furthermore, integrators can program any zone as general alarm.
Furthermore, the panel auto-detects Class A vs Class B based on wiring and EOL resistor presence. Therefore, installers don’t reprogram for wiring class.
Notification and communication
The PFC-6006-R provides one NAC rated 0.5 amp regulated. Specifically, the NAC is listed for strobe synchronization with Potter/AMSECO, Gentex, System Sensor, and Cooper/Wheelock signals. Also, the panel includes 0.5 amp auxiliary power, programmable as constant or resettable.
For monitoring station reporting, the panel has an onboard dual-line digital alarm communicator. In addition, it includes a built-in Ethernet connection with a listed IP communicator. As a result, integrators get DACT and IP reporting in one panel. Furthermore, the Ethernet port supports e-mail notifications of system status, reports, and service reminders.
