The DSC PG4902 is a PowerG wireless outdoor curtain PIR motion detector for intrusion-alarm systems. It operates on the 433 MHz PowerG band — the international (CE) variant, not the North American 915 MHz frequency.
The PG4902 is a security/intrusion sensor. Therefore, it pairs with PowerG-compatible intrusion panels — not with fire alarm panels.
First, the curtain lens creates a narrow vertical detection pattern. As a result, it suits balconies, windows, and façade perimeter protection. In addition, PowerG uses adaptive frequency hopping and AES-128 encryption. Therefore, the link resists jamming and tampering. Furthermore, anti-masking detects when an intruder tries to blind the lens.

Important Frequency Note
The PG4902 is the 433 MHz PowerG variant for international markets. For installations in North America, order the 915 MHz variant PG9902 instead. Also, confirm the panel’s PowerG frequency before ordering. Mixing 433 MHz and 915 MHz devices will not link.
Important Application Note
The PG4902 is an intrusion outdoor curtain PIR. Therefore, do not connect it to a fire alarm SLC or use it as a fire-system input. For fire-system detection, use a UL 268-listed initiating device.
