The Silent Knight PS-DALOB is an outdoor, dual-action manual fire alarm pull station. It ships with the SB-I/O backbox and a sealing gasket for weatherproof surface mounting. Therefore, it suits building exteriors, parking structures, and other locations exposed to moisture and dust.
Silent Knight PS-DALOB dual-action operation
First, the dual-action design requires two deliberate steps to signal an alarm. Specifically, the user pushes the handle in, then pulls it down. As a result, accidental activations become far less likely. In addition, operating instructions and Braille text are molded directly into the handle. The station also meets the ADA requirement of a 5-pound maximum pull force.
Construction and wiring
The PS-DALOB is built from durable Lexan for strength in harsh conditions. Moreover, the included weatherproof backbox and gasket protect the contacts outdoors. The station uses screw-terminal connections for straightforward wiring. It also features a key-lock reset for secure, controlled restoration after an alarm. This is a conventional pull station; therefore, it operates as a supervised contact closure on a fire alarm initiating circuit.
