The Silent Knight SD500-LK upgrade kit converts an SD500-PS single-action pull station into a dual-action SD500-PSDA. The kit adds the lift-style dual-action hardware to the station front. As a result, occupants must lift first and then pull to initiate an alarm.
Dual-action operation cuts down accidental and malicious activations. Therefore, facilities like schools, dorms, and public corridors often upgrade single-action stations. Installation is shown on the Silent Knight SD500-PS/PSDA datasheet and installation documents.
