The Silent Knight SK-CONTROL-6 is a six-circuit supervised control module for addressable fire alarm systems. It adds six notification appliance circuits (NACs) to a compatible Silent Knight panel. Therefore, installers can place horn, strobe, and bell circuits exactly where they are needed on the SLC loop.
Silent Knight SK-CONTROL-6 operation
First, each of the six circuits provides supervised switching for AC or DC loads. On command from the panel, the module disconnects supervision and connects the external power supply to the load. As a result, the panel receives positive confirmation that the circuit actually activated. In addition, the external supply stays relay-isolated from the SLC loop. Consequently, a power-supply trouble never interferes with the rest of the system.
Addressing and configuration
The module is addressable, and rotary code switches set its base address from 01 to 154. The remaining five circuits then take the next higher addresses automatically. Furthermore, each circuit supports Class B (Style Y) or Class A (Style Z) wiring. To synchronize strobes, add the separately sold SYNC-1 accessory card. The SK-CONTROL-6 mounts in the IDP-ACB cabinet and chassis.
