Siemens FTS-C Firefighters’ Telephone Station (Armored Cable)
The Siemens FTS-C is a fixed firefighters’ telephone station with an armored cable. Specifically, it gives first responders a permanent handset on the Cerberus PRO Modular emergency phone system. As a result, crews have reliable, built-in communication at key points in a building.
The “-C” suffix marks the armored cable. Specifically, a rugged armored cable replaces the standard coiled cord between the handset and back plate. Therefore, the station holds up better in demanding, high-traffic locations.
How the Siemens FTS-C Works
Each station includes a handset, a back plate, and a cradle with a magnetic latch. First, a responder lifts the handset. Then the main Cerberus PRO Modular operator interface receives the signal. Finally, the operator activates two-way communication with the Firefighters’ Master Telephone.
Required Mounting Hardware
The FTS-C needs a back box and a door, ordered separately. Specifically, use the FB-300 box for flush mounting or the FB-301S box for surface mounting. In addition, the assembly requires the FC-300 cover, which has a key-locked door and breakable glass.
This station is part number 500-299450. Moreover, it is UL 864 (9th Edition) and CAN/ULC-S576 Listed for emergency communication.
