The Siemens PAD-5-CLSA is a Class A/B expansion card for PAD-5 addressable power supply units. It adds notification appliance circuits to an existing PAD-5. Specifically, the card provides two Class A circuits or four Class B circuits. Each circuit is rated at 3 amps maximum.
The PAD-5-CLSA mounts to a PAD-5-MB main board. It uses one address on the P2 communication loop. In addition, that address must be the next sequential number after the connected main board. Technicians program the address with the Siemens Device Programmer Unit (DPU).
Siemens PAD-5-CLSA indicators and releasing
The card includes LED indicators for each zone. It also provides LEDs for the P2 interface and overall card status. As a result, technicians can quickly confirm circuit and communication health. Every connected circuit reports back to the panel through the PAD-5 unit.
Additionally, the PAD-5-CLSA can control releasing functions. For example, it supports pre-action, deluge, and clean-agent applications. An on-board releasing disconnect switch can disable both releasing circuits. Therefore, technicians can prevent accidental agent discharge during routine maintenance.

Use the PAD-5-CLSA to expand notification or add releasing control on PAD-5 systems. It fits retrofits, upgrades, and new construction across commercial and institutional buildings.
