The Silent Knight 6820EVS is an intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a built-in Emergency Voice System (EVS). First, it combines fire detection and live voice evacuation in one platform. As a result, it serves as a direct replacement for the 5820XL-EVS panel.
Silent Knight 6820EVS capacity and detection
The panel includes one built-in signaling line circuit (SLC). This SLC supports 159 SK detectors plus 159 SK modules, or 127 SD-protocol devices. In addition, you can add SLC loops to reach 1110 SK points or 635 SD points per panel. Therefore, the 6820EVS scales from mid-size buildings to large campuses.
Control and notification
Six onboard Flexput circuits work as notification outputs or auxiliary power. The panel also provides a Form-C trouble relay and two programmable Form-C relays. Furthermore, drift compensation, a pretrouble maintenance alert, and a built-in sensor test help meet NFPA 72 calibration requirements.
Emergency voice and networking
An onboard supervised microphone supports live announcements. All-call and non-active call buttons quickly select active or inactive output groups. Moreover, a common communication link connects up to 17 panels over copper or fiber. The 6820EVS is listed to UL 864 and UL 2572 for mass notification.
