The Simplex 4010-9823 is the 240 V expansion power supply for 4010 series fire alarm control panels. First, the module adds notification capacity to the host FACP. In addition, it delivers battery-backed, power-limited output for synchronized appliances. Therefore, the 4010-9823 supports larger occupant-load sites without a second panel.
Power Output and Notification Support
The 4010-9823 provides 4 A of battery-backed, power-limited notification power. Specifically, it harnesses to notification circuits on the 4010 SFI/O board. As a result, the host panel synchronizes horns, strobes, and combination appliances. Furthermore, the unit accepts 240 V AC primary input for international and dual-voltage installations.
Battery Backup Path
The expansion power supply supervises its own battery set. Then, the panel reports trouble conditions through the host CPU. In addition, the integral charger maintains the standby batteries during normal operation. Therefore, secondary power complies with the project NFPA 72 standby and alarm calculation.
Application Notes
Use the Simplex 4010-9823 when notification current exceeds the host panel budget. However, 120 V North American mains should specify the corresponding 120 V expansion supply. Also, verify NAC class and synchronization protocol before committing the design.
