The Simplex 4090-9120 is a single-address six-point module for IDNet communication. First, it monitors four T-sense input circuits and controls two relay outputs. In addition, the assembly occupies a single addressable point on the loop. Therefore, the 4090-9120 saves panel addresses where dense I/O is needed.
Six-Point Module I/O Layout
Each input circuit supervises continuity to an end-of-line resistor. Specifically, the inputs distinguish between a short and a current-limited contact closure. As a result, designers monitor different device types on the same module. Furthermore, the two relay outputs operate independently from the inputs and may be disabled separately.
Relay Ratings
The relay contacts are rated 2 A (1 A inductive) at 30 VDC. However, on 120 VAC the rating is 0.5 A (0.25 A inductive). Also, the AC contacts are non-power-limited. Therefore, route the relay leads in compliance with the panel installation guide.
Power and Communication
The module draws 24 VDC from a listed fire alarm power supply. Then, the IDNet channel runs at 36.25 V maximum, 0.5 A, 3333 baud. In addition, the operating range covers 32 °F (0 °C) to 120 °F (49 °C). Furthermore, relative humidity may reach 93% non-condensing at 90 °F (32 °C). The Simplex part number is 0617998.
