The Hochiki SOM-AI is a supervised output module with a built-in isolator, sized to fit a 4-inch back box.
This module drives a supervised notification circuit from a Hochiki addressable signaling loop. Specifically, it supports Class A or Class B output wiring per the installation needs. As a result, the panel can monitor the notification circuit for opens or shorts.

The “AI” designation indicates the integrated short-circuit isolator on the SLC side. Therefore, a single fault on the signaling loop does not bring down the whole loop. In addition, this protects loop continuity for other devices.
