SPACE AGE (T32-DG) Dg Series 32 Volt Terminal Spd

The Space Age T32-DG is a 32-volt terminal surge protection device (SPD) in Space Age Electronics’ Eclips TDG Series. Specifically, the T32-DG protects low-voltage fire alarm, security, and signaling circuits from transient overvoltage events. It uses a combination of Gas Discharge Tubes (GDT) and Silicon Avalanche Diodes (SAD).

First, the GDT handles the bulk of the surge energy. Then the SAD clamps the residual voltage to a level safe for downstream electronics. As a result, the protected circuit sees a clean, low-voltage signal even during nearby lightning strikes or large switching transients. Therefore, panel inputs remain within their safe operating range.
