The STI STI-9711 Horn/Strobe/Speaker Damage Stopper is a steel wire cage for fire alarm notification appliances. First, it shields horns, strobes, and speakers from vandalism and accidental damage. In addition, the open wire pattern allows full audible and visible output. Therefore, alarm performance is not reduced.
STI STI-9711 construction
First, the cage is formed from 9-gauge steel wire. Then, the wire is coated with corrosion-resistant white polyester. Specifically, the unit measures 8.26 in. H (210 mm) x 8.26 in. W (210 mm) x 3.54 in. D (90 mm). As a result, the larger footprint covers wide-base SpectrAlert Advance horn-strobes and speaker-strobes.
Compatible devices and installation
First, the guard is sized for System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance series horn, strobe, and speaker appliances. In addition, mounting screws and anchors ship with the unit. Then, the cage installs over the existing appliance. Furthermore, the protected device remains fully serviceable through the wire mesh.
STI backs the cage for three years against breakage in normal use. UL/cUL tested (File S7025).
