The Vesda VPS-100US-120 is a single-zone power supply with a housing. Specifically, it powers VESDA aspirating smoke detection equipment. First, it takes 120 VAC, 60 Hz input. Then, it delivers a power-limited 24 VDC output.
This supply provides 1.5 A of continuous current at 24 VDC. As a result, it runs a single detection zone reliably. In addition, the output is filtered and electronically regulated. Therefore, connected detectors receive clean, steady power.

The unit includes a built-in charger for sealed lead-acid or gel batteries. Furthermore, it supervises AC, low AC (brown-out), and battery conditions. Also, it switches to standby battery automatically when AC fails. For example, the detector keeps running through a power outage.
