Edwards (3-12RY) Led display module – 12 pairs of leds (1 red; 1 yellow)

The Edwards 3-12RY is an EST3 LED display module with 12 red LEDs and 12 yellow LEDs in matched pairs. First, the 3-12RY mounts to a local rail module (LRM) in an EST3 cabinet or annunciator. Then, the EST3 CPU drives each LED through a ribbon-cable connection to the LRM. As a result, the panel surfaces 12 alarm/trouble pairs in a compact module footprint.

Specifically, the 24 total LEDs are arranged as 12 vertical pairs of one red and one yellow LED each. Therefore, each pair typically annunciates one zone or device with red for alarm and yellow for trouble. In addition, slide-in labels behind the module face allow custom point labeling in any language.

Edwards 3-12RY application

Use the 3-12RY in EST3 / EST3X panels and remote annunciator cabinets where the operator needs at-a-glance LED zone status without a switch overlay. Furthermore, the module fits any EST3 module bay served by a local rail module. Also, lamp test runs from either a spare switch programmed in the SDU or by pressing Alarm Silence and Trouble Silence together on the 3-CPU.

The 3-12RY is a display-only module, so it carries no part-level UL listing. However, the EST3 system listing under UL 864 covers the module when properly installed in a listed cabinet. As a result, the 3-12RY contributes to a fully-listed annunciator without itself needing a standalone certification.
