The Edwards 3-TAMPRCC is the side-mount tamper switch dimensioned specifically for 3-RCC remote closet cabinets. First, it mounts to the inside wall of the RCC enclosure. Then, when the front door opens, the switch changes state and the EST3 panel reports a supervisory event.
The 3-TAMPRCC is NOT interchangeable with the 3-TAMP. Specifically, the 3-RCC closet enclosures have different sheet-metal geometry than the lobby 3-CAB series. As a result, Edwards ships a separate tamper SKU for each cabinet family.

What this part is NOT
The 3-TAMPRCC does not fit lobby 3-CAB7, 3-CAB14, or 3-CAB21 cabinets — those use the 3-TAMP. Furthermore, it does not fit the 3-CAB5 — that uses the 3-TAMP5. Therefore, confirm the host cabinet family before ordering.
Listings
The 3-TAMPRCC is a passive mechanical switch. As a result, it carries no standalone agency listing. However, it becomes part of the UL 864-listed EST3 system once installed in a listed 3-RCC cabinet and wired to a listed input module for supervision.
