The Simplex 4100-1284 is an 8-switch, 16-LED annunciator module for the 4100ES and 4100U fire alarm panels. First, the module presents eight tactile push-button switches paired with sixteen high-efficiency LEDs. As a result, each switch position has a dedicated red-and-green LED pair for status feedback.
Specifically, the LEDs sit in a red-on-top / green-on-bottom layout. In addition, each switch operates as an alternate-action ON/OFF control with a rubber tactile button. Furthermore, the LEDs are bright enough to read clearly through the panel’s glass door.
Where the Simplex 4100-1284 fits
Switch functions and LED status meanings are not fixed. Then they are programmed when the 4100ES/4100U CPU is customized to the site. As a result, a single 4100-1284 can serve almost any local control role — system reset, zone disable, fan control, door release, or evacuation override.
Typical applications include healthcare facilities, schools, large office complexes, and any 4100ES installation that needs local switched control with visible status. Furthermore, slide-in labels are locally printed to identify the exact function of each switch and LED.
