The Siemens BI-35 interface module is a battery interface for Cerberus Pyrotronics System 3 fire alarm panels. Specifically, it works with the PS-35 power supply and BC-35 battery charger as an auxiliary power supply. As a result, legacy System 3 installations can keep supervised standby power without replacing the panel.
The BI-35 supervises its battery and charger connections. If a fault occurs, its trouble relay transfers and reports a trouble to the main system. In addition, a system input on the BI-35 activates audible circuits and deactivates the battery charger. Therefore, the module ties auxiliary power directly into panel alarm and trouble logic.
