The Siemens RPM Remote Printer Module connects a FireFinder XLS fire safety system to a parallel printer. As a result, the panel can produce hard copies of system status and configuration reports. The RPM also provides a Foreign System Interface (FSI) output port. That port can be configured to communicate with external systems, such as building management systems.
Event documentation matters in commercial fire alarm work. For example, inspectors and facility managers often need printed status and history reports. Therefore, the RPM gives the FireFinder XLS a dedicated, supervised printing path.
