The Hochiki CZM (DCP-CZM) is a conventional zone input module for analog addressable Hochiki fire alarm systems. It lets the panel monitor a zone of two-wire conventional detectors or pull stations.
First, the CZM sits on the SLC loop and uses one device address. Then it supervises both the zone power supply and the entire zone of devices. As a result, the panel sees the zone status as normal, open, or alarm.
Hochiki CZM Capacity
Each CZM module supports up to 25 conventional devices on its zone. In addition, up to 127 devices can sit on a single SLC loop. Therefore one Hochiki addressable panel can carry many conventional zones without losing addressable capacity.
Key Features
- Supports Class A and Class B wiring on the conventional zone
- Up to 25 conventional detectors or pull stations per CZM
- Device address range: 1 to 127, programmed via handheld programmer
- Address stored on onboard EEPROM
- Single bi-colored LED — blinks green when polled
- UL 864 9th Edition Listed
- Designed for mounting in a standard 4″ electrical box
When to Use the CZM
Furthermore, use the CZM when retrofitting older conventional zones onto a new Hochiki addressable panel. For example, it preserves existing two-wire smoke detectors when replacing a legacy control panel.
