The Ditek DTK-4LVLPLV is a 4-pair, 24 V low-voltage line protector with screw-terminal connections for 22-16 AWG wire. Furthermore, it protects four hardwired pairs in a compact in-line module. As a result, panels with multiple low-voltage loops can be covered from a single device.

First, the DTK-4LVLPLV clamps line-to-ground transients on each protected pair. In addition, all four pairs share a common ground point on the housing. Therefore, installation requires only a single ground connection to the panel.

Also, the screw-terminal interface accepts 22-16 AWG conductors. As a result, it fits typical fire panel SLC, IDC, NAC, and burglar zone wiring without splice modifications. Furthermore, the ABS housing keeps the device compact enough for in-cabinet installation.

Application Note

Match module voltage to loop voltage. Specifically, the LVLP-LV variant is rated for 24 V circuits. Therefore, do not apply it to 12 V or 48 V loops. Also, terminate the ground lead to the panel earth bus, not the cabinet door or chassis. As a result, the device clamps to a low-impedance reference.
