The Siemens FDOT421 is an intelligent multi-sensor smoke detector for addressable systems. It combines an optical smoke sensor with a thermal sensor. The detector then evaluates both signals together. As a result, it improves fire detection while limiting nuisance alarms.
This detector reports its sensitivity at the control panel. In addition, it uses Siemens ISOtechnology for True Class-X SLC operation. Therefore, it improves circuit integrity and addressable fault finding.
Siemens FDOT421 Sensing and Specifications
The optical sensor detects smoke at roughly 2.0 %/ft obscuration. Also, the thermal sensor responds at 135°F (57°C). The detector mounts on the Model DB-11 base. Furthermore, it connects through FDnet / C-NET on Cerberus PRO systems.
