The Federal Signal FSEX-24PMR-MOD is an explosion-proof strobe light for Class I, Division 1 hazardous areas. Specifically, it is the red-enclosure, red-lens, 24 VDC variant of the Potter Federal Signal FSEX series.
First, the housing is copper-free cast aluminum, sealed with a red powder-coat finish. Then a Type 4X rated lens-and-globe assembly protects the xenon strobe tube. As a result, the device tolerates harsh and corrosive industrial environments.

Where the FSEX-24PMR-MOD Is Used
Typically, the FSEX explosion-proof strobe is installed where combustible gases or vapors may be present. For example, petrochemical processing, refining, and fuel-handling facilities all require flameproof notification. As a result, the FSEX-24PMR-MOD is the right pick for hazardous-area visual notification on a 24 VDC NAC.
Furthermore, the device integrates with conventional fire alarm panels and power boosters. Therefore, it drops into existing supervised NAC designs without special wiring schemes.
