The Hochiki DHSBPC-1-1-1-1-1 is a replacement door holder armature, Hochiki part number 0500-02110. It mounts to the door surface and mates with an electromagnetic door holder on the wall.
Specifically, the armature is the “catch” half of a magnetic door hold-open assembly. Therefore, it allows fire-rated doors to be held open during normal building operation. Then, during a fire alarm, the magnet releases and the door closes automatically.
How the Hochiki DHSBPC-1-1-1-1-1 Works
The wall-mounted magnet is energized during normal conditions. As a result, it pulls the door armature and holds the door open. When the fire alarm panel drops power to the magnet, the door swings free under its closer.
In addition, this approach maintains fire and smoke compartmentation while still allowing day-to-day pass-through traffic.
When You Need This Part
Use the DHSBPC armature when the original catch plate is bent, lost, or worn. Also use it when retrofitting a new door into an existing Hochiki door-holder installation.
