The KIDDE COMMERCIAL FX-SLC2 is a Dual SLC Interface Card for the Kidde FX-1000 intelligent fire alarm control panel. Specifically, it adds two signaling line circuits in a single card.
First, the card provides 500 device addresses total — 250 per loop. Then, each loop splits into 125 detectors and 125 modules. As a result, one FX-SLC2 doubles the loop count compared to the single-loop FX-SLC1.
In addition, the FX-1000 ships with one onboard SLC and supports up to four loops via FX-SLC1 and FX-SLC2 cards. Furthermore, a fully expanded FX-1000 reaches 1,000 addressable points.

FX-1000 Expansion Path
First, the FX-1000 includes one onboard 250-device SLC. Then, adding one FX-SLC1 raises capacity to 500 devices on two loops. In addition, an FX-SLC2 raises capacity to 750 devices on three loops, or 1,000 devices when paired with another FX-SLC1. As a result, the panel scales in 250-device steps up to the 1,000-device, four-loop maximum.
