The Kidde VM-NOC is the network option card for Kidde VM Series fire alarm panels. First, the card plugs into a VM-1 panel. Then, it enables two independent RS-485 network circuits.
In addition, the VM-NOC links up to eight VM-1 panels in a single network. As a result, multiple panels share alarm and audio status across the building.
Kidde VM-NOC Network Function
The card provides two RS-485 circuits. Specifically, one is for network data. Then, the other handles digital audio between panels. Therefore, both event messaging and voice page can travel across the network.
Also, both Class A and Class B wiring topologies are supported. As a result, the network can survive a single open or short and keep communicating.

Important: VM Series Only
First, confirm your panel is a Kidde VM Series. However, the VM-NOC is not compatible with other Kidde panel families. Therefore, do not order the VM-NOC for a Genesis, Signature, or non-VM Kidde panel.
