The mircom tx3-mdm modem module enables remote PC programming over a phone line. Specifically, it provides dial-up access to Mircom’s TX3 telephone and card access systems. As a result, technicians can upload, download, and monitor configuration files without an on-site visit. In addition, the module operates at a 33.6k baud rate.
mircom tx3-mdm modem module installation
First, the module mounts inside a TX3 lobby enclosure. Alternatively, it mounts inside a TX3-CX card access enclosure. Then, supplied screws secure the module at its specified location on the controller. Furthermore, programming uses Mircom’s TX3 configuration software paired with a PC modem. Therefore, no extra software license is required for the modem path.
When to choose TX3-MDM
Also, the TX3-MDM serves sites that lack reliable IP connectivity. In addition, it suits buildings already wired for a dedicated phone line at the lobby. As a result, it remains a cost-effective alternative to the TX3-IP module for remote access.
