Secutron (MRI-4040) Secutron 4000 series dual input module

The Secutron MRI-4040 is an intelligent dual input module for Secutron MRI-4000 series addressable fire alarm panels. It monitors contact-type input circuits and reports their status over the SLC loop. Specifically, the module supports one Class A input or two Class B inputs. As a result, two independent circuits can share a single module address.

How the Secutron MRI-4040 Works

In Class A operation, the module provides an internal end-of-line resistor. Alternatively, Class B operation monitors two separate input circuits with MP-302 22k EOL plates. Each input tolerates up to 150 ohms of total wiring resistance. In addition, the module includes a panel-controlled LED indicator.

Set the module address with the MIX-4090 hand-held programmer. Up to 240 devices fit on a single loop, using addresses 1 to 240. However, disconnect the module from a live loop before programming. Otherwise, you may change the addresses of other devices on the same loop.

Mounting and Compatibility

Mount the module in a standard 4 in. square box or a double-gang electrical box. The box must be at least 2-1/8 in. deep. Alternatively, use the BB-400 surface-mount backbox. Connect the module to power-limited circuits only.

This module must be used with a listed MRI-4000 series compatible Secutron intelligent control panel. Finally, it pairs with accessories like the MIX-4090 programmer and MP-302 EOL mounting plates.
