The Notifier NBG-12LO is a red dual-action manual fire alarm pull station listed for outdoor applications. It is a non-coded, conventional pull station with a key-lock reset and screw-terminal connections. Specifically, the outdoor listing applies when paired with an approved backbox (typically the SB-I/O) and the supplied sealing gasket.
This pull station is built for harsh exterior locations. Common applications include parking structures, loading docks, outdoor corridors, and industrial yards. In addition, the dual-action design — push in, then pull down — prevents accidental activation from a casual bump.
How the Notifier NBG-12LO operates
First, push the handle inward, then pull down to latch the alarm switch. Then, the word “ACTIVATED” appears at the top of the handle in bright yellow. As a result, the activated state is visible from across the room.
To reset the station, insert the supplied key and turn a quarter turn. Furthermore, opening the cover returns the handle to its normal position. Also, the molded handle includes Braille text and directional arrows for ADA accessibility.
Important ordering note
Per the Notifier NBG-12 datasheet, the NBG-12LO is not sold separately. It ships as part of the NBG-12LOB combination: NBG-12LO + SB-I/O backbox + sealing gasket. Therefore, the outdoor application listing applies to the NBG-12LOB combination only. Also, the NBG-12LO fits the WP-10 weatherproof backbox in retrofit installs.
