The POTTER PAD100-SIM is an addressable Single Input Module for Potter IPA and AFC/ARC Series panels. It monitors one Class B initiating device circuit. Specifically, it bridges dry-contact devices to a Potter addressable SLC loop. Examples include sprinkler waterflow, valve tamper switches, and conventional pull stations.
How the POTTER PAD100-SIM Monitors Devices
The module uses one SLC loop address to report the status of one Class B circuit. Furthermore, the EOL resistor is a 5.1 kΩ (Potter part 3005013). As a result, the panel sees the input circuit as supervised and addressable.
A red LED flashes during normal polling by the panel. In addition, the LED flashes faster when the input activates. Therefore, technicians can quickly verify operation on-site.
Important Install Note
The PAD100-SIM does NOT support 2-wire smoke detectors. Therefore, for 2-wire smoke initiation, use a different Potter module. Also, the module mounts in a standard 4-inch square or double-gang electrical box.
