The Potter RMS-2T pull station is a single-action conventional manual fire alarm pull station with DPST contacts. Specifically, it provides two independent normally open contact sets for use on dual-circuit fire alarm panels. Furthermore, the die-cast metal housing carries the unit through demanding commercial installations.
Construction and finish
The body is a die-cast housing with a 14-gauge plated-steel back plate. As a result, the pull station holds up to the daily-use environment of schools, offices, and factories. In addition, every metal surface is fully coated to inhibit corrosion. Therefore, the finish stays uniform over years of service.
Operation and electrical specifications
The operator pulls the white handle straight down to activate. Then the handle locks into the down position for visual indication of activation. Internally, the unit uses a 10-amp snap-action switch wired as DPST (double-pole single-throw). In addition, gold-plated contacts maintain low contact resistance. Also, the dedicated terminal block speeds wire termination during install.
Reset and mounting options
The standard reset uses a hex key. However, a barrel-key reset variant is available on request. Furthermore, the RMS-2T pairs with the shallow surface back box, the deep surface back box, or a weatherproof box. The single-action label means a single pull motion activates the station.

The RMS-2T pull station is UL Listed under UL 38, the standard for Manually Actuated Signaling Boxes. In addition, it is also FM Approved and CSFM Listed.
