The Siemens ADB-11 is an audible fire detector base for conventional Series 11 detectors. First, it combines a standard detector base with a built-in piezoelectric sounder. As a result, it produces a local audible alarm right at the detector.
The ADB-11 carries Siemens part number 500-096117. In addition, it installs in the same footprint as a standard Series 11 base. Therefore, it adds local notification without a separate appliance.
Siemens ADB-11 Operation
A conventional zone of the control panel powers the base. On alarm, circuit ground reaches the ADB-11 through the base contact. As a result, the piezoelectric device activates and produces an 85 dB local signal.
