Siemens DB-X3RS Series-3 Mounting Base With Relay
The Siemens DB-X3RS is a Series-3 detector mounting base with an integrated relay. First, it seats a compatible Siemens detector head. Then it adds a Form-C relay output for auxiliary control. As a result, installers gain switching capability right at the detector.
This relay base supports a range of Siemens initiating devices. Specifically, it works with FP-11 and FPT-11 detectors using the DB-ADPT adapter. In addition, it supports ILI-1, ILI-1H, ILI-1A, ILI-1AH, ILP-1, ILPT-1, and ILP-2 detectors.
Siemens DB-X3RS Relay and Mounting Specifications
The integrated relay provides dry Form-C (NO/C/NC) contacts. Furthermore, the contacts are rated 3A at 120 VAC and 3A at 30 VDC. Therefore, the base can drive auxiliary functions such as door holders or fan shutdown.
The DB-X3RS mounts to a standard 4-inch square electrical box, 2-1/8 inches deep. Also, it connects to compatible remote lamps and remote relays. Finally, you wire it per NFPA 72 and CAN/ULC-S524 guidelines.
