Siemens DPU Device Programmer / Test Unit
The Siemens DPU is a portable device programmer and loop test unit for fire alarm technicians. First, it programs addresses into the non-volatile memory of addressable devices. Then it verifies each device before installation. As a result, commissioning goes faster with fewer field surprises.
Beyond programming, the DPU also performs loop diagnostics. Specifically, it supports loop testing and ground-fault detection. However, loop test mode requires AC power. Therefore, keep the supplied adapter handy for bench and panel work.
Siemens DPU Compatibility and Power
The DPU works across Siemens addressable platforms. In addition, it supports 50-point, 252-point, and 504-point systems, plus FireFinder XLS and MXL devices. Furthermore, the menu-driven backlit LCD and keypad keep operation simple.
For power, the unit runs on rechargeable NiMH batteries or AC. Also, a full charge supports roughly four hours of field use. Finally, optional accessories include the DPU-RPT label printer and the DPU-C1 carrying case. The base part number is 500-033260.
