The Siemens EL-410D is a 100-watt voice evacuation amplifier (Siemens catalog number 500-694900). Specifically, it is the audio amplifier unit for the Siemens MXLV voice evacuation system. The EL-410D also serves the CPV90 voice evacuation platform. Output is selectable for either 70.7 VRMS or 25 VRMS speaker circuits.
First, the EL-410D mounts in an MME-3 or MLE-6 MXL system enclosure with the MSR-1 rail mounting kit. Then field wiring lands on the amplifier’s audio output and AC input terminals. As a result, the host MXL panel can drive a building’s voice evacuation speakers through the EL-410D. Alternatively, the amplifier can mount in a standard System 3 “EA” enclosure where it occupies eight regular module spaces.

The amplifier automatically switches to battery power if the 120 VAC input fails. In addition, dedicated front-panel LEDs report both power status and battery trouble at a glance.
