Siemens (RNI) Remote Network Interface (500-033420)
The Siemens (RNI) Remote Network Interface provides a remote connection point for the FireFinder XLS fire alarm control panel. Specifically, it links equipment mounted in a remote lobby enclosure back to the FACP. It also adds remote input, output, and control features to each XLS panel.
What the Siemens (RNI) Supports
The RNI supports several categories of remote equipment. First, it handles control switches and indicators: Models SCM-8, LCM-8, and FCM-6. Then it supports remote emergency-paging microphones or telephones, Models LVM and FMT. In addition, it serves graphic annunciator controls, Models SIM-16 and OCM-16. Finally, it supports the SSD-C-REM system-status display. That display can acknowledge alarms, silence audibles, and reset the system.
For mounting, the RNI fits the Model REMBOX2 or REMBOX4 remote lobby enclosure. Power comes from a 24VDC source such as the PSC-12 supply or PSX-12 extender.
