The Honeywell SD500-MIM is a Silent Knight addressable mini input module. It monitors a single normally-open dry-contact device on an IntelliKnight fire alarm system. As a result, conventional initiating devices report to the panel as addressable points.
What the SD500-MIM Monitors
The module supervises one dry-contact initiating device. Typical devices include manual pull stations, waterflow switches, and supervisory switches. An end-of-line resistor lets the module detect both alarm closures and open-circuit faults. Therefore, the panel sees a clear alarm, normal, or trouble state.
Compact, Flexible Installation
The SD500-MIM fits inside a single-gang box. So installers can mount it close to the monitored device. In addition, it supports Class B wiring up to 2,500 feet from the module to the device. DIP switches then set the address quickly during installation.
