The SPECTREX 40/40D-I is an ultra-fast multispectrum QuadSense flame detector for high-risk industrial fire protection. First, it combines four infrared sensors to spot hydrocarbon fires quickly. As a result, it reacts in under 50 milliseconds.
Spectrex builds the 40/40D-I on proven Triple-IR (IR3) technology. Therefore, it delivers high sensitivity while rejecting common false-alarm sources. In addition, the fourth IR sensor sharpens the difference between real flames and hot background radiation.

This detector sees hydrocarbon fires at distances up to 300 ft (90 m). Consequently, it suits large open areas where speed and range both matter. Furthermore, an integrated IR Built-In-Test continuously checks the optics and electronics for reliable operation.
