The Simplex 4006-9803 is an expansion relay module for the Simplex 4006 Convene conventional fire alarm panel platform. It adds programmable relay outputs to the host panel.
First, the module connects to the 4006 host panel and provides additional dry-contact outputs. Then, those contacts can be used to drive auxiliary functions such as HVAC shutdown, door release, fan control, or third-party signaling. As a result, the installing contractor can expand panel functionality without replacing the main control.
Where the Simplex 4006-9803 fits
Use this expansion module with Simplex 4006 Convene conventional panels. Therefore, it is appropriate for smaller commercial buildings using the 4006 platform — not for the 4007ES, 4010ES, or 4100ES addressable systems.
