The Simplex 4007-9806 SDACT module is the Serial Digital Alarm Communicating Transmitter for the 4007ES fire alarm control panel. First, it monitors the host panel’s status. As a result, it reports alarms, troubles, and supervisory conditions to a Central Station monitoring service over standard telephone lines.
Specifically, the SDACT delivers detailed point-level messages back to the receiver. In addition, those messages help Central Station operators identify the exact device or zone in alarm. Therefore, dispatch and response can be more precise than with a generic zone code.
Where the Simplex 4007-9806 SDACT module fits
This SDACT module is compatible with the 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, and 4100U panels. Furthermore, it occupies a single plug-in slot inside the host panel enclosure.
Electrically, the module draws power from the panel: 18 to 32 VDC operating range. In addition, current draw is 30 mA standby and 40 mA in report mode. As a result, it adds minimal load to the panel’s standby battery calculations.
