The Ditek DTK-MB10 is a single-module Snap-Track base for the Ditek 2MHLP series of low-voltage surge suppression modules. Specifically, it holds one 2MHLP module and protects two signal pairs. Furthermore, it is a passive mounting base. Therefore, the surge protection itself lives in the module that snaps in.
First, the base provides hardwired screw terminals for field wiring. In addition, a ground stud bonds the assembly to the panel earth. Then, the 2MHLP module slides in on a card-edge connector. As a result, the module is hot-swappable. Replacement does not require re-terminating the field wiring.
Also, the DTK-MB10 has a shorter footprint than the multi-position bases. Specifically, it fits where only one 2MHLP pair needs protection. Furthermore, additional bases can be added side-by-side on a common ground bus.

The DTK-MB10 is the base only. As a result, a separate DTK-2MHLP module must be ordered for the assembly to provide surge protection. Specifically, match the module voltage (5 V, 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, 48 V, 75 V, or 130 V) to the loop voltage. Also, the base itself carries no UL device listing — the agency listing belongs to the 2MHLP module that installs in it.
