HOCHIKI (HCA-RA) Hca-Ra Remote Annunciator

The Hochiki HCA-RA is a remote annunciator for the Hochiki HCA Series conventional fire alarm control panels. Specifically, it mirrors the HCA panel’s display and controls at a remote location. As a result, a firefighter can read alarm status from the building entrance without entering the panel room. The HCA-RA connects to the slave RS-485 port of an HCA control panel.

Operation

The HCA-RA resides on the HCA Series slave RS-485 line. It uses a local piezo sounder for audible event notification. In addition, navigation buttons mimic the HCA control panel interface. Security is established by either a user password or a firefighter’s enable key.

Compatible Panels

The Hochiki HCA-RA works exclusively with the Hochiki HCA Series conventional fire alarm panels. Specifically, it supports HCA-2, HCA-4, HCA-8, and the corresponding HCA-2D, HCA-4D, and HCA-8D dialer-equipped variants.
