The Hochiki HSC-220L is a 6-inch conventional detector base with an integrated alarm LED. It runs on 24 VDC and supports 2-wire operation.
First, the base provides a current-limited circuit for the detector head. Then a latching annunciator keeps the LED lit until the panel resets. As a result, technicians can quickly identify which device tripped.
How the Hochiki HSC-220L Works
The HSC-220L mounts a compatible Hochiki conventional detector head. In addition, it sits on a 4-inch octagonal or 4-inch square electrical box. Therefore, retrofits onto existing wiring are straightforward.
Furthermore, the base latches its alarm LED on activation. Specifically, the LED stays on after the smoke or heat condition clears. Then the panel reset command extinguishes the LED.
