Potter Electric Signal (HUSK-20) Metal hold-up key reset

The Potter Electric Signal HUSK-20 is a latching, key-reset metal hold-up switch. It is part of Potter’s intrusion-detection (hold-up/duress) product family, not the fire alarm system. Typically, it installs at bank teller stations, pharmacy counters, jewelry counters, and other locations where staff may need to silently signal an emergency.

Operation is simple. First, a user presses down on the activation lever with one finger. Then the switch mechanism latches mechanically, ensuring the signal stays asserted until a manager resets the device. As a result, the burglar control panel receives an immediate, sustained alarm on a 24-hour hold-up zone.

A small status window on top of the switch shows two colors. Specifically, RED indicates an active alarm, and BLUE indicates the armed (ready) state. To clear the alarm, an authorized user inserts the supplied reset key and returns the mechanism to its armed state. In addition, the metal housing carries a gray paint finish for a low-profile appearance under a counter.
