The Kidde SD-T120 is a 120-inch air sampling tube. It works with SuperDuct intelligent duct smoke detectors. Specifically, it draws duct air into the detector’s sensing chamber.
The tube installs inside HVAC ductwork. First, it spans the full width of a large duct. Then its inlet holes face the airstream. As a result, the detector receives a steady air sample. Therefore, smoke in moving air can be detected early.
Kidde SD-T120 Features
- 120-inch sampling tube for very wide HVAC ducts
- Designed for SuperDuct (SIGA-SD) intelligent duct detectors
- Inlet holes face the airstream for consistent sampling
- Rotates in 45-degree increments to align with airflow
- Ordered separately from the duct detector housing
Large ducts need long sampling tubes. In addition, the 120-inch length covers wide mechanical spaces. However, the detector itself performs the smoke sensing. The tube simply delivers the air sample.
This accessory suits commercial and industrial air-handling systems. Also, it helps limit smoke from spreading through ventilation. Finally, it supports duct detection layouts designed to NFPA 72.
