The Secutron MRI-4040-M is an intelligent addressable multi input module. It provides six Class A or twelve Class B input circuits. As a result, one module monitors twelve independent contacts using a single SLC address.
First, the MRI-4040-M handles alarm, supervisory, or monitor inputs. In addition, it serves water flow switches, tamper switches, pull stations, and other dry-contact devices. Furthermore, when configured Class A the module supplies the EOL resistance internally — no field resistor required.
Status, Addressing, and Diagnostics
Each input carries an LED indicator. Red signals alarm; yellow flags trouble. Also, a green LED reports SLC communication health. Two more yellow LEDs flag short-circuit conditions on either side of the SLC connection.
Specifically, the address is set with the MIX-4090 hand-held programmer. Therefore, a single address covers all twelve inputs through sub-addressing.
How the Secutron MRI-4040-M Mounts
The module ships with a DIN-rail mounting clip and plug-in terminal blocks. Therefore, installation is fast and tool-free. Furthermore, mount it on the MMX-BB-4002R (two-module backbox) or the MMX-BB-4006R (six-module backbox). Alternatively, the MGC-4000-BR mounting bracket kit adapts it to any UL/ULC listed enclosure.
