SECUTRON (RAM-3318-LCD) MR-400 Remote LCD Annunciator c/w 4 x 20

The Secutron RAM-3318-LCD is a remote LCD annunciator for the Secutron MR-400 addressable fire alarm control panel. Specifically, it provides an exact mimic of the MR-400 display at a remote location such as a lobby or security desk. As a result, building staff can monitor and acknowledge fire-alarm events without standing at the main panel.

The display is a four-line, 20-character backlit alphanumeric LCD. Furthermore, it presents information about the panel, its circuits, and connected devices. In addition, an on-screen cursor controlled by cursor buttons handles menu selection and panel commands.

How the Secutron RAM-3318-LCD connects to the panel

The MR-400 includes an RS-485 bus for connection of remote annunciators. As a result, up to seven RAM-3318-LCD units can be daisy-chained on a single MR-400 system. Therefore, large buildings can place an annunciator at each entrance or staff station.

Note: this unit is also used as a component of the Mircom FX-3318 fire alarm system. Furthermore, behavior, display, and controls are the same on either platform. The Mircom catalog references the device as CAT-5691.
